Tabea Martin is a choreographer and performer from Basel, Switzerland. She studied modern dance at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. She has danced in Holland with Piet Rogie & Company, among others, as well as in Stuttgart with Fabian Chyle and in Ireland with Nick Bryson. She was a guest student at the SNDO in Amsterdam and completed her second degree in choreography at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie in 2006. In addition to freelance productions, Tabea Martin also works regularly at municipal theaters, including Schauspielhaus Zürich, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Theater Basel, Theater Bern, Staatstheater Oldenburg, Stadt Theater Konstanz and and Theater Neumarkt. Her regular collaborators include Sebastian Nübling, Sibylle Berg , Elina Finkel and Anna Bergmann. In 2015 Tabea Martin received the Special Prize of the Bern Dance Awards and in 2016 the Culture Prize of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. Tabea Martin is a jury member of the Dance Commission of the City of Zurich, the SSA - Société Suisse des Auteurs and the Atelier Mondial of the Christoph Merian Foundation. She has taught at ZHDK, Manufacture, Marchepied, CFP Genève. Tabea is the mother of a daughter.
