She was born in Athens and has been living in Switzerland for the past 15 years.
She is a dance artist working at the intersection of movement, language, and imagination. In her practice, she develops collective formats that bring reading, writing, dialogue, and dance into shared spaces of research.
Her work and performances emerge from artistic research and have been presented in collaboration with institutions such as Tanzhaus Zürich, Rote Fabrik Theater, Maxim Theater, MerumAtelier, Chania Dance Days, Eleusina - European Capital of Culture 2023, Ticino in Danza Festival, the ChoreoLab of TanzPlan Ost, and others. Since 2023, she has been the choreographer and facilitator of KATINES Zurich, a dance community and gathering space with a feminist ethos. She creates spaces where contemporary dance training and improvisation take place alongside critical thought and artistic research, and she is also a teacher with Bona Dance Zurich, a community of dance practitioners dedicated to teaching contemporary dance to adults of all levels and backgrounds.
She holds a Master’s degree in Performance Practices (Artistic Research) from ArtEZ University of the Arts and was trained as a dancer at the State School of Dance in Greece (K.S.O.T.) and the Leonidas de Pian School, obtaining a diploma as a dance teacher from the Morianova-Trassa Higher Professional School.
As an artist, she is always looking for ways to sustain and cultivate her practice at the periphery of large institutions.
