She began studying dance in Brazil at the age of eleven. Seven years later she began working as a teacher and dancer. Throughout her career, she has always tried to balance the two professions she loves, teaching and performing, as she considers them complementary. In 2005, she moved to Madrid where she continued her studies and obtained a degree in Choreography and Interpretation at the Maria de Avila Conservatory. At the same time, she performed in various dance companies of different styles, from aerial dance to outdoor performances to contemporary dance. In 2013 Clarissa moved to London, where she continued her career as a dancer and teacher. There she worked on a postgraduate dance project at London Contemporary Dance School and had a permanent teaching position at Ballet4life, focusing on ballet for adults and older people. Working with the director of Ballet4life, she developed a program specifically designed for people living with dementia. In 2017 she moved with her family to Basel, where she teaches ballet and contemporary dance in various institutions such as Profitraining Basel, Studio Formbar and Migros Klubschule. Clarissa is the mother of two children.
