Gisa Frank (*1960) grew up in southern Germany and on Lake Constance in Thurgau, lives in Appenzell, is married and has two grown-up children. Trained at the Leeder School of Dance in Herisau and on the CHOREO course in Toggenburg, graduating from the SBTG.
Further training in Laban/Leeder technique, contact improvisation, release techniques and Butho. Training in Qi Gong and Tai, Ji. Intensive further training in voice and rhythm work. In my artistic work I deal with the creative thinking, feeling and movement material of larger ad hoc groups of dance, theatre and music professionals and amateurs. I co-create performances in the landscape, projects in art spaces and for the stage. I have initiated cultural and dance promotion projects for many years and have campaigned for dance in cultural policy - including as president of ig-tanz ost, concept and management of ‘TanzPlan-Ost’. I teach dance/movement art and music to people of all ages and backgrounds on a freelance basis and at institutions.
