He is a dance performer, choreographer, teacher, dramaturg, and filmmaker. Graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2006, where his curiosity for multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary art was awakened. His professional performance career has expanded over many years, having danced with Limon Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and AMOC with Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber. Most recently he was Rehearsal Director at Ballett Basel under the direction of Adolphe Binder. He has appeared on international stages in works by various artists, including Pina Bausch, Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, Sharon Eyal, William Forsythe, Alonzo King, Jiří Kylián, Jose Limón, Ohad Naharin, among others. As a choreographer who presents his work internationally, he has created works for Ballet Idaho, Limón, Hubbard Street and ‹Underground›, the choreographic platform of Tanztheater Wuppertal. He has also created for international dance festivals and schools such as California Institute of the Arts, CalState Fullerton, Limon Institute, Sundance/Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and Nuova X. In 2010 he was named one of Dance Magazine's ‹25 To Watch›. Fredrickson's artistic work operates at the intersection of storytelling, dance and interdisciplinary forms, creating works that illuminate the human experience.
