Works and lives in Basel. Dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher for contemporary dance, classical ballet and dance history. She studied dance and choreography in Madrid and completed a Master of Arts in Expanded Theatre at the Bern University of Applied Sciences and Arts, HKB. She has been dancing professionally in various companies in Europe since 2003 and between 2008 and 2017 she was a soloist dancer for the Ballett Theater Basel. She has created various dance performances in Switzerland and abroad since 2007. During her career as a dancer, she has worked with choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Blanca Li, Mats-Ek, Imbal Pinto, Richard Wherlock, Angelin Prejlocaj, Alexander Ekman, Stijn Cellis, Sharon Fridman, Nacho Duato, Johan Inger, among others. Her work as an independent choreographer has been shown at the Museum der Kulturen Basel, Theater Roxy Birsfelden, Theater Basel, Neuestheater Dornach, Residenztheater Munich, Stadttheater Münster, Interdans Festival Belgium, Burgos-NewYork Spain, Landesmuseum Zurich and Neubad Lucerne. Sol gives theoretical and practical seminars at various Swiss art colleges such as the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts HSLU. Sol currently collaborates with the Pro UKBB foundation for the dance education project UKBB Tanzt and is Head of Dance at the Swiss Academy educational group in Zurich, Basel and Winterthur. Sol is the mother of a daughter.
