The art of getting lost is the journey of a woman experiencing the urban space, attempting to discover the city in search of an artistic, critical and subjective perspective. Recuperating the art of walking stands as the core engine of the investigation and with it a celebration of slowness, as a form of protest against the hypercapitalism that fragments social life penetrating every aspect of human experience.
The piece aims to unfold different layers of experience that coexist within urban spaces, in order to explore and intervene on various levels, such as rhythm, dynamic, awareness, pedestrian’s behavior and sonorous landscapes.
This work intends to be an exercise of comprehension, emancipation and provocation, taking form out of the questions that emerged along the way, using them as points of inflection towards the different problematics that cohabit within public and urban spaces, such as gender inequality and privatization among others.
