Tina has been working as a freelance choreographer, dancer and teacher since the 1980s. She received her dance training in New York (BFA Juilliard School), where she also developed her interest in choreography. She taught dance, choreography and dance history at the ZHdK for over ten years. In 2012, she founded the ‘manntanzt’ project to give men low-threshold access to artistic dance. Since 2021, she has conceptualised and directed the only community dance festival in Switzerland: Tanzmehr anderes festival commun. Together with eight professional dancers over 60, she founded the collective dance me to the end, which campaigns for the visibility of ageing bodies on stage and in society. She shares her passion for contemporary dance in her teaching programmes and workshops for professional and non-professional dancers. Tina's work has been supported by the City and Canton of Zurich, the Federal Office of Culture and numerous private foundations. She is the mother of three grown-up children.
