Vittorio Bertolli currently works as Rehearsal Director and Assistant Choreographer at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, following recent positions as Production Assistant at Zurich Ballet and Rehearsal Director at TanzLuzern.
Born in Naples, he graduated from the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart Lausanne in 2002 and went on to perform with Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Aterballetto, and Bern:Ballet. Over the years, he has collaborated with renowned choreographers including Maurice Béjart, Mauro Bigonzetti, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Andrea Miller, Noa Zuck, Felix Landerer, Philippe Saire, Andonis Foniadakis, Alexander Ekman, and Johan Inger. A key influence in his artistic development was his 2008 encounter with David Zambrano, which led him to teach Flying Low, Passing Through and Improvisation across professional companies and education programs in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and France. He is co-founder of the dance-theatre company Unplush, alongside Marion Zurbach, recipient of the 2019 June Johnson Swiss Dance Prize. Vittorio holds a MAS in Dance Science from the University of Bern (2018) and an MFA in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London (2023).
